Yong Yong take us again through time, to seek images of the past as it will be and the future as it was. The excavated panpipes of Escudo Negro accompany tumbled audio of the last meeting between speakers of an extinct language & culture, even the name of which is now lost. It is a lesson in listening. Soon we embark by maglev railline to a peninsula kingdom of domes. It is a civilization of mathematic and scientific achievement surpassed by none, a state built upon tolerance, welfare and beauty. It is beset by crusaders, it falls into the sea, and with it goes the knowledge and advancement of a just society. On the other side, at the same time, O Amor de Uma Mulher begins in a garden of pools to be gazed at. Each pool reflects the cumulative ambitions of Man, glimpsed in tape rush, hiss and shackle. There are perhaps many millions of such pools in this garden. It is an unearthly place, true, but we are assured by the ceaseless beat of unrequited life that the garden must be cared for and known to us. Words of affirmation will greet us in time, our anxieties will cease, music will vindicate our search. This is where we will live forever.
